How to change motorcycle forks seals

Although it may seem daunting at first, changing your motorbike forks seals is relatively easy. The first step you need to do is to find out whether or not your fork seals are leaking:

*Pump your forks up and down for a period of around 30 seconds if after this, there is any residue left your seals need replacing. (A quick but not permanent fix can be to insert a paper clip between the stanchion and the seal, try to clear out any bits that might be causing the seal to fail.)

To replace the seals you will need to do the following:
*Partially unscrew the allen key bolt at the bottom (this will stop the internals spinning once the top is released)
*Release the top bolt. (There maybe some pressure remaining so take care)
*Drain the oil (You might as well replace the oil at the same time, as this needs replacing every 4000 miles or so)
*Pull apart the two forks (3 good yanks should do it)
*Take of the old seal and replace it.

Final steps involve doing the above in reverse order. Please take a note on the order your parts come out!
